They provide fully funded fly fishing courses and instruction as therapy for veterans and serving soldiers, seamen and airmen of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) combat fatigue or other emotional issues due to active service.

RESULTS
Well on what turned out ot be a rather wet to damp but mild September Sunday, our Bankside Administrator Len Nottle came good. By lunchtime Len had drawn a blank but revived by a Cornish pasty and good old cup of tea the afternoon session saw him bring in three good 2lb rainbows. This was enough to take the winners trophy and a place in the Fishing For Heroes Final which will be held at Dever Springs. Second place went to Lee Ratcliffe and third to Malcolm Sargeant. The group of competitors raised the sum of £415 towards the charity, all competitors should be congratulated for their efforts in raising the money for a worthy cause.
Weigh in was a close run thing between the top three anglers.
Close up to a solid 4lb Innis Rainbow.
Dave in the light shirt holding a 5lb 3oz, Lee holds the 4lb and all backed up by the Fishing For Heroes representatives Ian Bleakley (left) and Andy Garner (right) both pulling in some good fish with only a few hours of fly fishing tuition under their belts.
