WINTER LEAGUE

Sunday 17th November saw the second heat of our Innis Winter League. With 20 anglers turning out to fish Carbis lake. They were greeted with a still, sunny day with no ripple on the water. There was talk before the briefing about the conditions being difficult. The match got off to an earlier start of 9.15am and the previous worries were proven to be wrong as several anglers' rods bent within the first few minutes. As the day progressed the pegs at the top end of the lake produced a lot of fish. At the end of the competition 87 fish had been landed with a rod average of 4.4. The eventual heat winner was Andrew Willoughby with 8 fish for a total of 13 points. Second was John Huckings with 7 fish with 10 points and third was Paul Nottle with 7 fish with 10 points. Paul Nottle being the pace setter for this years event so far. Next heat will be held on Sunday 1st December, 9.15am start...look forward to seeing you all again then.
HEAT 2 will take place on Sunday 1st November at a start time of 9.15am....look forward to seeing you all again, if not before.

Tretherras School pupils enjoyed an organised fly fishing experience day at Innis Fly Fishery.

As you can tell from the photo the weather was awesome for a tan and as we know this can sometimes affect the fish but not on this day. With expert tuition on hand from Dave Truran the numbers caught were into double figures. A great day for all who attended..you never know a few may even take up fly fishing and its many positive vibes.
