THE BUTCH JOHNS MEMORIAL EVENT RESULTS COMING SOON
Sunday 19th January saw the fifth heat of the Innis Winter League. 19 anglers turned out to fish what proved to be the hardest heat so far. The first frost of the winter, coloured water and full sunshine with no ripple....different tactics would be required. Very few fish were caught in the first hour but by lunchtime, Paul Nottle and Andrew Willoughby were leading with Dave Johns and Kevin Hockley with just a couple of points behind. The afternoon session saw local angler, Alex Johnstone, who had drawn a blank in the morning, come from nowhere to net 7 fish, overtaking most of the field. After the comp had finished it was Dave Johns who came out on top with 6 fish, off four pegs giving him 10 place points. Alex Johnstone came a close second with 7 fish off two pegs for 9 place points. Thanks to all the anglers who took part and a special thanks to Derrick Runnalls for his time keeping and controlling. The next winter league will be on Sunday 2nd February.
HEAT SIX will take place on Sunday 2nd Febuary at a start time of 9.15am....look forward to seeing you all again, if not before.

So another year has gone by and on Sunday 22nd December it was time for our Annual Innis Christmas Competition....an amazing turn out again for this popular event. Twenty-four anglers fished, catching a massive 132 rainbows for a rod average of 5.5 per angler. Anglers travelled from all over, including Bude, Exeter and Plymouth in Devon and as far south as Redruth in Cornwall. We all met for a cuppa before the peg draw, with some anglers in festive attire, Kev Mildren did not disappoint. After a short break for some mince pies and cream the competition came to a close and 4.15pm. Top angler on the day catching on all six of his pegs was Alex Johnstone who finished with 13 fish for 19 score points. All 24 anglers caught fish so no blanks which made for a great atmosphere. After the match we all went up to the Knightor Restaurant for a Christmas meal and the Presentation.
All at Innis would like to wish all our customers a very happy Christmas and a healthy New Year. Thank you again for all your support throughout 2019, Tightlines for 2020, from Dave and Theresa
